Grant Wilfley Casting is currently doing the background casting for the upcoming Scott Hicks film. Specifically, we are seeking someone with experience as a Sous Chef. We are also looking for people with any experience in a kitchen, such as a dishwasher, busboy, waiter, bartender etc. If selected, you would be part of a core group of actors that would work around 2-3 weeks of the film. "Mostly Martha" est donc le prochain film annonçé de Hicks, qui n'avait plus tourné de long métrage depuis "Hearts in Atlantis". C'est le remake de "Bella Martha", film de 2001 réalisé par Sandra Nettelbeck, avec Martina Gedeck et Sergio Castellito, sorti en France sous le titre "Chère Martha". L'histoire d'une chef de restauration qui doit gérer coup sur coup la nièce qu' elle doit soudain prendre en charge et l'arrivée d'un brillant cuisinier italien.
Le film s'annonce donc comme quelque chose d'assez léger: après deux bides consécutif au box office , Hicks doit s'assurer un succés. Catherine Zeta-Jones et Aaron Eckhart reprennnent les rôles titres dans cette production Castle Rock, Village Rodshaw et Warner (déjà derrières "Hearts in Atlantis" et qui font donc toujours confiance au réalisateur) supervisée encore une fois par Mme Hicks, Kerry Haysen. Le script est signé d'une nouvelle venue, Carol Fuchs. Le tournage doit débuter ce mois de Janvier.
"Mostly Martha" is a remake of the german feature "Bella Martah" (2001), with Catherine Zeta Jones and Aaron Eckhart, produced by Castle Rock, Village Roadshaw and Warner (the sames companies behind "Heart in Atlantis": despite of the box office failure, they trust Hicks another time). A light oriented picture written by the new coming Carol Fuchs, which is a hope of success for the director. It talks about "The life of a top chef (Zeta-Jones) changes when she becomes the guardian of her young niece." The shooting should begin this january!
On n'avait plus vu Youki Kudoh, l'Hatsue de "La Neige tombait sur les Cèdres" dans les salles françaises depuis... la sortie du film de Hicks! (si ce n'est "entendre" sa prestation dans "Blood the last Vampire"). La revoir sera peut-être une des raisons d'aller voir le guère affriolant "Memoirs of a Geisha" de Rob Marshall (sortie le 1er Mars chez nous). Sois dit en passant: n'aurait-il pas été plus logique qu'elle ait le premier rôle, dans ce film tenu avec un iconoclasme très hollywoodien par trois têtes d'affiches chinoises?
